Don't leave Christmas presents out for
burglars
Crimestoppers is calling upon
residents to be careful around their home security as domestic burglary
tends to rise during the festive season. The charity is also appealing for
anonymous information on this crime. Christmas presents displayed
under trees are a huge temptation for prowling burglars. But it won't just
be Christmas presents they take, burglars will take whatever they can get
hold of, so it's important people take extra measures to keep their
property safe. Theft or burglary was the third most feared crime in a poll
of 1,000 people on Crimestoppers' website.Read about our burglary campaign and crime

trade. Read more about the Caribbean Most Wanted and visit the

Success stories
Crimestoppers has launched a new
section on its website to highlight success stories as a result of
information passed on to Crimestoppers. The latest successes to be
published include a call about a murder. A caller told us about how a
man had been overheard saying he had just stabbed a person and may
have killed them. The address where the male was hiding was given to
Crimestoppers and immediately phoned through to the police. The police
reported that as a result of the Crimestoppers information, a man had
been arrested and charged with murder. Read more Crimestoppers success stories

information passed on to Crimestoppers. Our Christmas appeal is focusing on
domestic violence this year - the crime affects one in four women and
accounts for 35% of all murders. We rely on your donations for our
important work to continue. Please give as generously as you can to our

Don't let a burglar steal your Christmas: Thames
Valley Crimestoppers
Thames Valley Crimestoppers recently
joined forces with the police to run a campaign targeting burglary. 'Don't
let a burglar steal your Christmas' was a display during 'Not in my
Neighbourhood Week' and demonstrated how a typical living room might look
after it had been trashed by burglars. Crimestoppers' call to action was
graffitied onto the walls of the room to remind the public that they can
pass on information to Crimestoppers anonymously about crime.Read more about the Thames Valley Crimestoppers
